Happy birthday to the grace off champ! Blame her for todays WOD!
5 sets to reach a max for the following:
3 cleans + 1 jerk
30 Clean and jerk (225/135)
If you haven’t heard this by now its pretty sad. Kevin Ogar was injured at the OC throwdown on Sunday, currently he is paralized from the waist down and needs surgery. He is uninsured and needs help. If you have a couple extra bucks please chip in and help him out. 65,000 has already been raised in less that a day.
7 most unhealthy processed foods you need to avoid. Pretty much a no brainer on these.
If you are available/ want to help/judge at the event this weekend please let Joe or myself know ASAP!!!
Here it is WOD #1 for this weekend:
As many reps possible in 8 min:
8 Squat clean and jerk RX (135/95) scaled (95/65)
8 Squat clean and jerk RX (165/110) scaled (105/70)
8 Squat clean and jerk RX (185/115) scaled (115/75)
8 Squat clean and jerk RX (205/125) scaled (135/95)
8 Squat clean and jerk RX (225/135) scaled (155/105)
8 Squat clean and jerk (245/155) scaled (165/110)
Max reps RX (265/165) scaled (185/115)
All 8 reps must be completed before moving on to the next weight. It is the athletes responsibility to change out the plates, no help will be give by the judges. Each athlete must do at least 2 reps at each weight in order to move on to the next weight. Normal standards on clean and jerk, athlete must drop into a squat(hip crease below the knee) by either doing either a full clean or a power clean to a front squat. For the jerk you may either thruster, push press, push jerk, or split jerk the bar and show control at the top. WOD is scored on total reps complete in the 8 min, if you or your partner are not able to lift the weight you are on your score will be the total # of reps you complete up to that point.
Do you think you can complete the challenge???
